Roma look rock-solid away at Serie A rivals Empoli

Juventus are not hanging about in their Serie A title defence and the Old Lady should make it eight wins from eight on their trip to Udinese.

Juve maintained their 100 per cent start to the campaign with a 3-1 home victory over title rivals Napoli last weekend and can follow up at the Dacia Arena, where Udinese have won just two of their last 12 league matches.

Udinese’s task is made even harder by Cristiano Ronaldo’s expected return and nullifying a star-studded attack also featuring Paulo Dybala and experienced Croat Mario Mandzukic won’t be easy.

Dybala was out of favour when representing Argentina at the World Cup but he is an integral part of Massimiliano Allegri’s Juve and is full of confidence after netting a hat-trick in the 3-0 midweek Champions League success over Swiss side Young Boys.

Dybala also notched in their earlier 2-0 win over Bologna and the Argentinian ace is starting to find his range.

The 24-year-old bagged 22 league goals last term and can breach an Udinese defence who have shipped 15 times in their last five meetings against Juve.

Empoli v Roma
Eleven Sports 2, 7.30pm Saturday

Roma are in a much healthier position in Champions League Group G after beating Viktoria Plzen 5-0 on Tuesday and their Serie A prospects can also improve with a victory at lowly Empoli.

The Wolves have won three in a row, scoring 12 goals in the process, and should brush aside Empoli, who have five points from seven games.
