Schalke v Bremen
BT Sport Extra, 5.30pm Saturday

Schalke’s poor start to the season has left them near the foot of the Bundesliga table but they could show their worth against highflying Werder Bremen.

Domenico Tedesco’s men suffered a run of five defeats in six league games at the start of the season but the Royal Blues got their first win of the campaign with a 1-0 home success against Mainz. They followed that with a Champions League win at Lokomotiv Moscow and a league victory at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

A lack of goals has hindered Schalke’s campaign. They have scored just five in seven league games and had only 12 shots on target in their last four.

Bremen have suffered just one defeat in seven league games and have averaged two goals per away game.

Summer signing Davy Klaassen was a flop at Everton but has impressed for the Green-Whites and scored his second goal of the season in the 2-0 victory against Wolfsburg before the international break.

With Schalke in better shape, there could be more goals than their league games so far and the fixture has a history of high scores with all the teams' last six meetings producing three or more. It could be worth taking a chance that this clash proves to be lively.

Recommendation
Over 3.5 goals
