Ajax qualified for the Champions League last 16 for the first time since 2005 this week but PSV remain the Eredivisie's crown jewel this term.

Mark van Bommel's Eindhoven have registered 13 wins from 13 matches, notching 46 goals, and they can blow Feyenoord out of the water at De Kuip.

The visitors fell to a 2-1 loss against Barcelona on Wednesday but had more shots and shots on target than the Spanish giants despite having less possession.

Their front line is linking up well. Newcastle flop Luuk de Jong has 12 league goals and is well supported by World Cup starlet Hirving Lozano, who has ten goals and five assists.

Steven Bergwijn has impressed on the other flank with seven assists and Feyenoord could struggle to deal with the opposition's width, with first-choice right-back Jeremiah St Juste still suspended.

Feyenoord have won six from six at home this term but they limped to a 1-0 win against Groningen last week, with coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst labelling their second-half display 'very mediocre'.

There will be no room for such complacency against PSV, who are 13 points ahead of the Rotterdammers.

Feyenoord lost both league meetings with the Farmers in 2017-18 and they could also be without key attacking outlet Robin van Persie, who has been nursing a calf injury.

PSV
2pts 5-4 general
