In the space of a week Lyon went from ending Paris Saint-Germain's unbeaten league record to losing against a Nice outfit who have scored just 19 league goals all season.

Bruno Genesio's men have been plagued by inconsistency but they should avoid slipping up against basement side Guingamp on home soil.

The visitors lost the reverse fixture 2-1 in the French Cup round of 16 earlier this month, beaten 20-12 in the shot count and having just 39 per cent of the ball.

They have brushed aside their league woes to make the final of the French League Cup, but the priority in the coming weeks will be preserving their top-flight status.

Lyon represents the toughest assignment in a fairly soft run of fixtures before the cup final and the gulf in quality could show from the start.

The hosts have blown away teams who have played on the front foot, crushing Monaco in December and taking an impressive four points against English champions Manchester City in the Champions League group stage.

Even in their desperate situation Guingamp have not shied away from playing expansive football, operating in a 4-2-3-1 system in their recent defeat to Monaco.

They have two wins from 11 matches on the road in the league, with the 9-0 destruction away to PSG a particular low point, and they could be outclassed by another of Ligue 1's big guns.
