Eleven Sports from midday, Saturday

Athletic Bilbao v Eibar

7.45pm

Bilbao may have turned a corner after following up a clean sheet against Barcelona with victory at Huesca and they can take maximum points against Eibar.

The visitors have plenty of goals in them, having notched 12 in five matches, but their defensive vulnerabilities could be exposed at a venue where Bilbao defeated Betis and Sevilla last month.

Liam Flin's recommendation
Athletic Bilbao
1pt 11-10 Betway

Key stat
Eibar have recorded only one win on the road in La Liga.

Alaves v Celta Vigo

5.30pm

Celta Vigo’s road woes and their sloppy defence will be to blame if they fail in their battle to beat the drop and they could have little to cheer about at stubborn hosts Alaves.

Celta have claimed just eight points from 11 away league games this term and no side have leaked more than their 25 away goals, which could spell disaster for them.

Aaron Ashley's recommendation
Alaves
1pt 13-10 bet365

Key stat
Alaves have lost only one of their 11 home league games this term.

Sevilla v Barcelona

3.15pm

The striking disparity between Sevilla’s home and away form this season is best outlined by their two Copa del Rey meetings with Barcelona in the last month.

After winning the first leg 2-0 at home, the Andalusian outfit capitulated at Camp Nou, losing 6-1 to La Liga’s table-toppers, and such performances have been replicated in the league.

Sevilla have lost just once at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the league this term but they have taken maximum points in only three of their 13 away assignments.

They are a different beast on home soil and a Barcelona team drained from their midweek trip to Lyon should be wary as they look to strengthen their pursuit of the La Liga title.

The hosts also go into this game following a European tie but, despite playing in the Europa League, their second leg against Lazio was on Wednesday, so Barca have not had an additional day of rest.

Sevilla will be buzzing after winning both legs against the Italians without conceding and they are renowned for playing on the front foot, notching in each of their last four home matches, including a 5-0 drubbing of Levante.

Even in a recent defeat to Villarreal Pablo Machin’s side mustered 21 shots and the 7-4 about Sevilla with the draw no bet looks enticing.

Getafe v Rayo

Midday

Getafe have taken Alaves’ label as La Liga’s surprise package and they can continue their rise up the rankings with victory over Rayo Vallecano.

The fifth-placed hosts have lost just three league games since October, with their only slip-ups coming against Spanish giants Valencia, Barcelona and Atletico, and they should take care of a Rayo side lingering in the drop zone following three straight defeats.

Aaron Ashley's recommendation
Getafe
2pts 3-4 general

Key stat
Getafe have won four of their last five home league games.
