Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid

Eleven Sports / Premier Sports, 7.45pm

The heart has gone out of Rayo, who are all but doomed. They have won only one of their last 13 games – an unlikely 2-0 triumph at home to Valencia – and haven’t scored in their last two.

Real also drew a blank last time out, held 0-0 at Getafe, but they have won 17 La Liga matches in a row against Rayo.

Steve Davies's recommendation
Real Madrid to win to nil
2pts 21-10 Sky Bet

Key stat
Rayo have lost ten of their last 13 league games.

Villarreal v Huesca

Eleven Sports, 5.30pm

Huesca are in deep trouble but they have been more competitive in 2019 and can hold Villarreal to a draw at El Madrigal.

Since the turn of the year Huesca have posted five wins, six draws and six defeats.

They can cause problems for Villarreal, who face a swift turnaround following a 1-0 success at Sociedad on Thursday.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Draw
1pt 7-2 Betfair

Key stat
Huesca have drawn four of their last five matches.

Real Sociedad v Getafe

Eleven Sports, 3.15pm

Getafe stayed in fourth place after a 0-0 draw at home to Real Madrid on Thursday and can dig out another valuable point from their trip to San Sebastian.

Mid-table Sociedad will be hoping for a positive response after losing 1-0 at home to Villarreal but face a tricky match against Getafe, who have lost just twice on La Liga road trips this season.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Draw
1pt 9-4 bet365

Key stat
Getafe have drawn 11 of their last 15 away league games.

Girona v Sevilla

Eleven Sports / Premier Sports, 1pm

Girona were a top-half side for much of the opening half of the season but they slipped into the bottom three after a 1-0 loss at Valladolid on Tuesday and could stay there following a tough home match with Sevilla.

A top-four finish is on the minds of Sevilla, who triumphed 5-0 at home to Rayo Vallecano on Thursday.

They have not had much time to rest but should pile on the misery for Girona.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Sevilla
1pt 7-8 Betway

Key stat
Girona have lost their last six fixtures.

Valencia v Eibar

Eleven Sports / Premier Sports, 11am

Valencia's squad will be stretched by La Liga and Europa League duties as well as the Copa del Rey final as their season draws to a close and they may not overexert themselves against Eibar.

The Bats, adept in grinding out results, will have one eye on Thursday's clash with Arsenal and could be tempted to rest key players.

Only Atletico Madrid (23) have conceded fewer than the hosts (31).

Liam Flin's recommendation
Valencia to win & under 4.5 goals
2pts 20-23 Coral, Ladbrokes

Key stat
Eibar have lost three of their last four matches.
