The latest Derby della Lanterna is a key game at the wrong end of the Serie A table. Genoa occupy the final relegation spot going into the match just one point behind their city rivals.

After an initial bounce under new manager Claudio Ranieri, Sampdoria have fallen to back-to-back defeats both by a one-goal margin, but they could crucially come out on top here.

Genoa dropped into the relegation zone after a dramatic draw away at Lecce last time out which saw them throw away a 2-0 lead and finish the match with just nine players.
