Sunday's match previews

Real Sociedad v Getafe

Premier 1, 5.30pm

Second-season syndrome has set in for Getafe and, despite their impressive European exploits, they are worth opposing at the new-look Anoeta.

Real Sociedad are eyeing a return to continental competition and crucial to that pursuit will be their form at their Basque home, where they are yet to concede this season and beat Atletico Madrid 2-0.

Mikel Oyarzabal has been brilliant in the final third with four goals and two assists and can trouble a Getafe rearguard who have conceded seven goals in their last three league games and are without a clean sheet in La Liga this term.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Werder Bremen

BT Sport 2, 5pm

Eintracht Frankfurt's first Europa League triumph of the season away to Vitoria was far from spectacular but they got the job done and can do so again at home to Werder Bremen.

Adi Hutter's decision to play with a front two this season means he can battle fatigue by rotating Bas Dost, Andre Silva and Goncalo Paciencia, who have all looked sharp in the season's embryonic phase.

The trip to Portugal should therefore have minimal impact on their clash with Bremen, whose defensive issues are holding them back from competing for the European places. Werder have conceded 14 goals and are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Wolfsburg v Union Berlin

BT Sport 2, 2.30pm

Manager Oliver Glasner was a success at Austrian side Linz but few could have envisaged him making the impact he has at Wolfsburg.

The Wolves remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga and they have looked resolute at the back despite the absence of key defender John Brooks.

Wins have have turned into draws recently but they should have enough in the final third in three-goal Wout Weghorst to trouble newly-promoted Union Berlin.

With the exception of a shock win over Borussia Dortmund, the capital club have made a stuttering start but their last three defeats have been by slender margins and they should keep it tight.

Back a Wolfsburg win in a game featuring four goals or fewer for extra value.

Fiorentina v Udinese

Premier 2, 11.30am

Fiorentina have turned their season around after marginal losses to Napoli and Genoa in their opening two assignments and can put Udinese to the sword.

Highly-rated Federico Chiesa and Franck Ribery are developing a telepathic relationship up top, tearing through Milan 3-1 last time out after a 2-1 win against Sampdoria.

The goalless draw with champions Juventus proved they can hold their own defensively as well and they should not be troubled by shot-shy Udinese, who are the lowest scorers in the division with three goals scored in six games.
