Napoli added highly-rated Kostas Manolas to one of Italy's tightest defences this summer and they can showcase that backline brawn in a cagey season-opener away to Fiorentina.

Both teams scored in only eight of the Florence club's 19 home matches in 2018-19 and their two meetings with Napoli last term featured just one goal.

Their biggest acquisition this summer has been defensive midfielder Erick Pulgar and he can help to quieten a Napoli front line who could not manage a shot on target in their pre-season clash at home to Barcelona.
