Expect goals when Getafe visit Girona

Girona squandered a two-goal lead at home to Alaves a fortnight ago and their inconsistencies on their own patch make them difficult to trust against a poor-travelling Getafe side.

Girona have conquered Real Madrid and picked up a point against a stubborn Atletico but miserable home defeats against Barcelona (3-0), Alaves (3-2) and Villarreal (2-1) highlight their defensive frailties.

Pablo Machin's troops have conceded in seven of their eight home league games - a 1-0 win over second-bottom Malaga the exception - and Getafe have the attacking talent to punish any home mishaps.

Just goal difference separates the pair - Getafe have conceded seven fewer - and the draw is likely to attract plenty of support.

However, the Deep Blues have won only one of their seven road trips this season and backing both teams to score shapes like a safer investment.

Getafe have notched only once in three games but five of their last six away league matches have seen the net bulge at both ends and Mauro Arambarri's return from suspension adds extra spice to a talented midfield.

Three of the previous four meetings have rewarded both-teams-to-score punters - last season's Segunda clash in Catalonia finished in a 5-1 drubbing to Girona - and this tussle between two suspect defences can follow suit.
