BT Sport 2 from 2.30pm Sunday

Union Berlin v RB Leipzig

5pm

Union Berlin kick off their first season in the German top flight by locking horns with Leipzig, but they could struggle to make a mark on the pitch.

Julian Nagelsmann has been drafted in to build an empire at Leipzig and although it could take time for him to impose his methods he could scarcely have asked for a more appealing first away trip.

Union shipped a league-low 33 goals in Germany's second tier last season and as they aim to make themselves tough to beat they could restrict Leipzig to a narrow success.

Recommendation
Leipzig to win & under 3.5 goals
1pt 17-10 BoyleSports

Key stat
Union Berlin lost five matches in the Bundesliga 2 last season, the fewest of any team.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Hoffenheim

2.30pm

Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller are gone but Eintracht Frankfurt have added another exciting young Serb to their ranks in Dejan Joveljic and can play their part in an explosive opener with Hoffenheim.

The visitors are attack-minded by nature, scoring in all 17 of their away assignments in the Bundesliga last season.

Frankfurt have not looked shy in front of goal recently, pummelling FC Vaduz 5-0 in the Europa League qualifiers before a 5-3 win over SV Waldhof in the German Cup, and backing goals could be the way to go.

Recommendation
Over 3.5 goals
1pt 11-8 BoyleSports

Key stat
The two meetings between these sides last season featured a total eight goals.
