Match preview

Rangers made the perfect start to their Europa League last-16 tie against Red Star, scoring twice in the first 15 minutes on their way to a 3-0 victory at Ibrox.

Having knocked out Borussia Dortmund 6-4 on aggregate in the previous round, the confident Gers look a tempting price to seal their place in the last eight with a victory in Belgrade.

The hosts cannot afford to sit back but Rangers have won their last four matches to nil and have the attacking class to take advantage as the game opens up.

They won 4-2 in Dortmund, scoring four goals in the first 54 minutes of the tie, while Red Star were far from impressive in the group stage, finding the net only five times from open play in six matches.

Their home fixtures produced narrow wins over Braga and Ludogorets and a 1-0 defeat to Danish side Midtjylland so Rangers may well swagger into the quarter-finals.
