Midnight Wednesday

Atlanta United will be glad to return to home soil as they aim to get their MLS title defence back on track against Minnesota United at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Frank de Boer's men have suffered two narrow defeats on the road but can count themselves unlucky to have come away with nothing last time out after conceding a last-minute winner at Real Salt Lake.

Atlanta's defence had been in imperious form as outstanding performances from Miles Robinson propelled the team to five consecutive clean sheets and they will be looking for a return to that kind of form in front of their own fans.

Both teams are fifth in their conferences but Englishman Adrian Heath takes his Minnesota side to Georgia on a run of four defeats in their last five away games. They face the daunting task of overturning an Atlanta team who have lost only one of their last 19 at home.

Despite winning their last two games at home, Minnesota have failed to score more than one goal in any of their last six matches and top scorer Darwin Quintero has failed to find the net.

Atlanta's strong recent record, registering three clean sheets in as many home games, should make the champions confident of returning a victory without conceding.

Recommendation
Atlanta United to win to nil
2pts 8-5 bet365
