England's win over India on Sunday left them as 11-4 shots to win the World Cup, behind 2-1 favourites Australia and 9-4 chances India.

Eoin Morgan’s men are back in action against New Zealand on Wednesday knowing that a victory at the Riverside would seal their place in the semi-finals.

They are 4-9 favourites in Chester-le-Street with the Kiwis 19-10 with BoyleSports.

The outright betting remains tight but there is a clear favourite in Betway’s market on who will be player of the tournament.

Australia paceman Mitchell Starc, who won the award at the 2015 World Cup, is 8-15 to retain his title after taking 24 wickets – seven more than any other bowler.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is 5-1 second-favourite and Rohit Sharma, who scored his third century of the World Cup in the defeat to England, is 8-1.

Sri Lanka held on for a tense 23-run win over the West Indies, whose in-play odds collapsed from 20-1 to 11-8 as Nicholas Pooran’s century powered their chase of 339. The Lankans move up to sixth in the table but cannot qualify for the semi-finals.
