Kromowidjojo looks value for golden repeat

The final four events in the pool begin today and Cate Campbell, the 8-13 favourite for the women’s 50m freestyle, is worth taking on.

The last two World Championships, in 2013 and 2015, were won by less than 0.1s, and Campbell finished second and fourth in those.

Her time in the Australian trials where she outperformed her sister, the reigning world champion Bronte Campbell, makes her the one to beat on the clock but when it comes to major championships Holland’s Ranomi Kromowidjojo is a more consistent performer.
