Two of the top three teams in the World Cup betting meet at Lord’s as England, the 9-4 joint-favourites with India, take on 11-4 shots Australia.

England have been deposed as trophy favourites with Coral and Ladbrokes, who make India their 15-8 market leaders.

Virat Kohli’s men are 8-11 with Coral and Ladbrokes to finish top of the league stage, ahead of Australia and New Zealand at 7-2.

England are out to 10-1 to top the group following their shock defeat to 8-1 outsiders Sri Lanka last Friday.

Despite that setback, the tournament hosts are 1-6 to reach the semi-finals although 4-1 chances Pakistan remain in the hunt along with 16-1 shots Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, who beat Afghanistan by 62 runs at the Hampshire Bowl.

Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan continued his stellar form with a magnificent all-round performance for the Tigers, scoring 51 and taking 5-29 as the Afghans slipped to a seventh straight defeat at the World Cup.

Shakib is top of the tournament runscoring chart although his three closest pursuers – David Warner, Joe Root and Aaron Finch – are all in action at Lord’s.

Warner is Coral’s 11-4 favourite ahead of Root at 7-2 and India’s Rohit Sharma (5-1). Finch is a 6-1 shot and Shakib is 12-1 to finish top of the pile.
