It is the day after the week before with a return to normality on Sunday and five days of spectacular racing at Royal Ascot relegated to the rear-view mirror.

There are no Group races today to follow the 18 enjoyed at Ascot, although Pontefract serves us a competitive Listed race with seven heading to post for the totesport.com Pontefract Castle Fillies' Stakes at 3.30.

The other Flat meeting on Sunday comes from Gowran Park, while Hexham and Worcester provide action over the jumps.

There is also the small matter of England's second World Cup match, with the Three Lions looking to book their place in the second round when they take on Panama at 1pm.

Final thought

Ascot rather than Pontefract would be more Ryan Moore's cup of tea but the best in the business pays a rare visit to the West Yorkshire track today and looks like he could return with a 100 per cent record from three rides, with Heavenly Bliss (2.00), Hazarfiya (2.30) and Alwaysandforever (3.30) all forecast to start favourite.
