One trainer

Mark Johnston has been in fine form on the all-weather this winter and saddles some interesting contenders this weekend at Kempton.

Having undergone a gelding operation, former Grade 2 winning juvenile Cardsharp has bounced back with two good runs at Wolverhampton and Lingfield and will be hard to beat in a conditions race (7.30) following those efforts.

King's Advice, a three-time winner in Germany, was an easy winner on debut last time out and the imposing son of Frankel looks to have plenty more to offer (8.30). Dame Freya Stark seeks her first career win in the novice event (7.00).

One jockey

Noel Fehily bows out of the weighing room on Saturday after a distinguished career in the saddle which include a King George VI Chase double with Silviniaco Conti in 2013 and 2014, two Champion Hurdle wins on Rock On Ruby (2012) and Buveur D'Air (2017) and success in the 2018 Supreme Novices' Hurdle on Summerville Boy.

There is every chance Fehily will end his career with a winner as he partners the hugely exciting Get In The Queue in Newbury's valuable bumper (5.00). The five-year-old has won both his starts by a combined 25 lengths and looks a top prospect for Harry Fry.

One horse

Paul Nicholls holds Friend Or Foe in high regard and the juvenile hurdler could further enhance his reputation at Newbury (2.40).

The four-year-old failed to make the cut for the Fred Winter but looks to have a good chance of making it two from two for Nicholls in the £40,000 juvenile handicap hurdle, having won impressively at Taunton in December. The in-form Harry Cobden takes the ride once again.

One race

Kelso's excellent prize-money has been rewarded with some intriguing fields and there is plenty of talent on show in the 3m2f handicap chase (3.00).

The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Blue Flight returns to the scene of his Listed triumph over Black Corton, while the rejuvenated Le Reve and Some Chaos head the opposition to the giant six-year-old.

Le Reve has won his last two starts, including the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown by 13 lengths, and seeks a hat-trick for trainer Lucy Wadham.
