Derby-winning owner Saleh Al Homaizi and bloodstock agent Richard Knight joined forces last month to create a new equine business, just days before the agent splashed out €2.6 million at the sales on a sister to Group 1 winner Blackbeard for a 'mystery client'.

Knight secured the daughter of No Nay Never, whose brother Blackbeard landed the Middle Park Stakes only three days beforehand, at the Goffs Orby sale in Ireland on September 27. At the time, she was the most expensive yearling sold anywhere in the world in 2022.

Knight, the brother of Newmarket trainer William Knight, declined to name the ultimate buyer of the filly, telling reporters at Goffs: “It’s very exciting. She’ll go back to Britain and be trained there, although no trainer has been decided upon yet.”
