Who do racing's finest experts fancy to win a vintage Champion Hurdle?
Joseph O'Brien, Jessica Harrington, Ted Walsh and Jane Mangan on the big race
Joseph O'Brien, trainer
It's a very good race – really good – but Epatante is the one they all have to beat. She's a very slick jumper, and quick too. She has a proper turn of foot. Honeysuckle is a great stayer and has performed better than ever this year, but I would just about be leaning towards Epatante.
The more it dries out, the more I would fancy Epatante. The slower it is, the more of a case you could make for Honeysuckle. It's going to be a fascinating spectacle and I cannot wait for it. They're two super mares and they should serve up a classic.
Jessica Harrington, trainer
I fancy Honeysuckle. The ground has eased enough for her to be at her very best and I really fancy her now. She hasn't put a foot wrong all season and I don't expect her to do so now. She's class.
