What you need to know to start your day including going from all the tracks

Here's a rarity: a day on which the main interest could lie in the evening racing. Afternoon meetings at Uttoxeter, Catterick and Lingfield deliver what would be expected, but wait a while and it warms up somewhat.

This evening at Yarmouth opens with a lady riders' race, which includes Hayley Turner among the jockeys, and continues to a 1m2f handicap worth nearly £12,000 to the winner.

Outside of Britain, Killarney stage a similarly valuable 1m3f handicap for fillies, while over in France the Group 3 Grand Prix de Vichy is the big race of the day at 8.10. It has been won by future Group 1 winners in the recent past, including Elliptique and Cirrus Des Aigles.
