Make A Challenge has questions to answer in Curragh sprint after Greenlands flop

The big question will be which Make A Challenge turns up. If the speedster who blitzed his rivals on his seasonal return at Naas comes to the party, Denis Hogan's five-year-old will win. If he reproduces his last-time-out Greenlands Stakes effort, he is clearly vulnerable.

Buffer Zone and Urban Beat could be best placed to take advantage of any chinks in his armour.

No match for Sceptical on his reappearance in the Woodlands Stakes at Naas, Buffer Zone went down fighting in third behind Speak In Colours in the Greenlands, where he had more than three lengths to spare over Make A Challenge.

Urban Beat is back in this grade after going down narrowly in the Rockingham Handicap. He has a small bit to do on ratings but will appreciate any rain.

Away from the leading protagonists, Fozzy Stack has his string in red-hot form and is triple-handed with Son Of Rest, Woody Creek and Piece Of Paradise, the apparent first choice on jockey bookings.

What they say

Fozzy Stack, trainer of Son Of Rest, Woody Creek and Piece Of Paradise
Piece Of Paradise had quite a good season last year, winning a Listed race at Ayr, and hopefully she can progress again. Son Of Rest hasn't run for a while but will like the ground. Woody Creek has been ultimately disappointing this season.

Johnny Murtagh, trainer of Urban Beat
He's in good form and came out of the Rockingham well. He has a bit to do on ratings but it looks an ideal race for him.

Aidan Fogarty, trainer of Wheels On Fire
He's in good form and we'll let him take his chance but we're a bit worried about the ground as he's a good-actioned horse. Having said that, he won his maiden in France on soft.
