Key info and expert advice for a cracking card at the Curragh
Summer Sundays tend to have an international flavour and this one is no different with quality action in Ireland and France.
The second day of the Curragh's Irish Oaks meeting is headlined by a pair of Group 2s – the Friarstown Stud Sapphire Stakes (3.10) and Kilboy Estate Stakes (3.45).
The Sapphire is dominated by British sprinters with Soldier's Call and Equilateral leading the way and it is a similar story in the Group 2 Darley Prix Robert Papin (2.50) at Deauville as Norfolk Stakes winner A'Ali heads a four-strong raiding party.
Redcar completes the Flat action with a trio of jumps meetings at Newton Abbot, Stratford and Tipperary.

Final thought
British trainers have won the last five runnings of the Prix Robert Papin and the Simon Crisford-trained A'Ali heads a strong raiding party. With Frankie Dettori successful on two of those – Signora Cabello last year and Gutaifan in 2015 – he certainly has the right man on board.
