'Reset' and new leadership for struggling Sun Bets

Sun Bets are to undergo a "reset" including a change in leadership and redundancies following a difficult period since the operator launched last August.

The joint venture between Australian betting giant Tabcorp and the publisher of The Sun newspaper was put together with the aim of becoming a "key player in the online betting business", according to News UK chief executive Rebekah Brooks when the tie-up was first revealed.

Former William Hill head of innovation Jamie Hart was recruited as their executive director last June but had left the operation by February.
