Lingfield calls off Tuesday jumps meeting due to waterlogging
Racing has been cancelled at Lingfield on Tuesday with the track waterlogged and with no chance for conditions to dry out.
Officials called an inspection for 8am on Monday to check the course, but found conditions to be unraceable for the jumps fixture.
Clerk of the course George Hill wrote on Twitter: "Racing tomorrow abandoned [after] 8am inspection failed. Track currently not raceable due to standing water in places.
"[We have had] 5.5mm rain since yesterday morning [with] 5-15mm due this evening into tomorrow morning, so no chance of any improvement."
With Lingfield called off, there will be just two fixtures taking place on Tuesday at Catterick and Fakenham.
