Good ground seems likely for Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday after the official going was changed late on Friday afternoon.

Clerk of the course Chris Stickels removed 'good to soft in places' from the description following a dry day, but there remains the possibility of some showers on the eve of the big meeting.

“We are forecast possible occasional showers overnight, but it looks like it will be dry during racing,” Stickels said. “Any forecast rain for Saturday is due to reach us after racing.”
