Pandemonium. There are 20 runners in the Galway Hurdle and approximately 16 of them want to be in the first five.
Even those with only a passing knowledge of rudimentary maths can see the problem. False starts are about as surprising as ice melting. Grands Prix have their grids, Flat racing has stalls, athletes have lanes. Jump jockeys have the law of the jungle. Kill or be killed.
