A glance at the tables suggests that all is in order in the racing world with no seismic shifts as a result of the first nine weeks of the turf season being lost to Covid-19.

After all, the reigning champions, trainer John Gosden and jockey Oisin Murphy, are already in fine positions to retain their titles after what is effectively the first six-week term of the turf year.
