A glance at the tables suggests that all is in order in the racing world with no seismic shifts as a result of the first nine weeks of the turf season being lost to Covid-19.
After all, the reigning champions, trainer John Gosden and jockey Oisin Murphy, are already in fine positions to retain their titles after what is effectively the first six-week term of the turf year.
So many Group races crammed into the early calendar has brought the heavy hitters to the fore but, dig deeper, and there have been some intriguing developments.
