Whispers for Stafford as smart mare fulfils promise
Whisper In Court and Brian Lawless on their way to success in the mares' maiden at BallyraggetCredit: Healy Racing
On an afternoon which saw the first weekend of racing take place behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 virus, Wicklow rider Brian Lawless landed his first double.
Lawless opened his account on the Court Cave-sired Whisper In Court in the Gain Equine Nutrition five-year-old and upwards mares’ maiden.
Whisper In Court, who finished fourth on her point debut at Tyrella, was always prominent, before making her way to the head of affairs approaching the final fence to see off Simply Supreme by five lengths in the Thomas Stafford silks.
