What’s Up Darling was my first ride of the season and he won impressively at Quakerstown.

It was a special win as it was in my mother Grainne’s colours. He was the first horse since Florida Pearl to run in her colours and it was a real family success. She owned him, my father John trained him, I rode him and my brother Ronan rode him out every day.

I had the intention of sitting in but I felt that the pace of the race was quite slow, so I decided to go to the front and let him do his own thing. He just put the rest under pressure.
