Sunday’s fixture at Rathcannon had the misfortune of hosting a walkover, the first time it has happened at a point-to-point in quite some time.

One of the last walkovers at an Irish point took place at Oldcastle in 1995 when Johnny Vance’s Voldi was the only horse declared in the adjacent hunts race.

On Sunday, Enda Bolger’s Youcannotbeserious was the sole horse declared from 12 original entries for the five-year-old geldings’ maiden.
