Saturday, North Down at Kirkistown

David Christie has farmed open races at Kirkistown in recent years and that continued on Saturday when Some Man claimed his second success at the venue on the Ards peninsula with a 20-length victory in the Greenville Electrical open.

Patiently ridden by regular partner Rob James, the nine-year-old was delivered at the penultimate fence and, once leaving the back straight, there was only one outcome as he easily dismissed the challenge of Stuart Crawford’s three-time open winner Poli Roi.
