The cold snap that has gripped the country for well over a week has played havoc with the fixture programme.

Thankfully the micro-climate experienced at Borris House meant the Carlow Farmers fixture went ahead last Sunday, but this period of cold weather has created a one-week extension to the autumn season.

Boulta and Tattersalls were claimed by the sub-zero temperatures last weekend, but both venues get the opportunity to have a second bite of the cherry on Sunday, making use of the blank weekend the week before Christmas.
