Russell still on a roll as guest of honour at Inch after National victory

Davy Russell and Tiger Roll adorned the front pages of most Sunday papers on both sides of the Irish Sea after their second successive win in the Randox Health Grand National.

The size of the achievement by the former champion novice point-to-point rider may have fully sunk in when the Youghal native is guest of honour at next Wednesday’s Inch point-to-point.

The 39-year-old learned his craft on the southern circuit before joining the professional ranks and he will undoubtedly prove popular at the fixture which is celebrating 25 years at this location.
