Route are on right track as new Portrush venue hailed a success

I’ll be sitting out the next few weeks and was sorry to miss the first meeting staged by the Route Harriers at their new track near the seaside town of Portrush.

They used to race at Limavady but had to look for a new venue when the land there was needed for farming purposes again.

It’s always interesting to discover how a new track works out, but this time I can only go on what I’ve seen on the videos and heard from some of the riders. The reports have been positive and the local hunt committee deserves a great deal of credit. It’s a fairly sharp track but rode very well I’m told.
