On a bitterly cold afternoon which saw just 42 horses participating on the six-race card, the Mikey Kennedy-owned-and-trained River Voyage posted a fine stamina-laden performance as he landed the Tattersalls NH four-year-old geldings’ maiden emphatically in the hands of Johnny Barry.

On what was his third start of the season after a fifth at Kinsale in October and fourth in a competitive Ballindenisk race last month, River Voyage was always positioned close to the lead as the Knockmullen second Daring Plan took the 13-runner field along.
