Cool Getaway: Tattersalls maiden winner sold for £305,000 at Cheltenham on Friday
Quality of runners is as strong in the autumn as the spring on evidence of four-year-old maidens that have appeared in the pre-Christmas period, as well as subsequent sales prices of leading
lights, especially in view of the autumn season being a relatively recent introduction to the sport.
The introduction has offered trainers a chance to give additional time to bring young horses along and not limit them to a four-month period in the first half of the year.
