NEWCOMER Queens Cave destroyed 16 rivals by winning in a common canter to provide handler Aidan Fitzgerald and rider Richie Deegan with the opening leg of a two-timer.

The Goffs four-year-old mares’ maiden attracted the biggest field of the day and the daughter of Court Cave went to the front before three out before storming clear on the approach to two out.

She beat last season’s dual runner-up Malachys Girl by ten lengths in the increasingly familiar colours of the Cobajay Syndicate.
