Reality Cheque demonstrated his considerable promise when readily winning the five-year-old geldings’ maiden for Pat Doyle in the colours of his wife Mary.

Partnered by Damien Skehan, the son of Getaway atoned for an early departure at Dromahane on his debut to win by five lengths over the Robert Tyner-trained Pozo Emery.

"We thought this fella would win at Dromahane but he's a nice prospect going forward. He will stay in training now as I have a new owner for him and is one to look forward to," said Doyle.
