Declan Queally is going through a purple patch and was in the winner’s enclosure again when he steered My Old Gold to victory in the Collins Bros Garage, Liscarroll older mares’ maiden.

The Cappagh-based handler/rider is enjoying his best season between the flags as a trainer with 13 winners and trains My Old Gold for his mother Bernie.

The Gold Well mare was backing up the impression she had made on her debut when second at Horse & Jockey.
