Mossy Fen shows chasing prowess with power-packed victory
The Donnchadh Doyle-trained Mossy Fen got off the mark at the second time of asking when taking the opening Dennison Commercials four-year-old maiden.
The son of Milan departed at the first fence just six days earlier at Castletown Geoghegan but had no issues with jumping on this occasion under James Walsh, fencing fluently throughout in the Monbeg Syndicate colours.
The €30,000 Derby Sale graduate came powering home from mid-division to peg back the runner-up Somptueux on the run to the line, with just two lengths separating the pair.
