Kupatana puts seal on Fitzgerald’s weekend
Carefully Selected gets Katie Walsh off the mark for the season at Monksgrange
Aidan Fitzgerald, who sent out two four-year-old winners at Durrow on Saturday, unleashed another winning debutant in the IRE Wel Pallets & Farm Shop four-year-old mares’ maiden at Monksgrange on Sunday.
Kupatana, a daughter of Westerner, was purchased at the Goresbridge sales last summer by her handler and put in a polished round of jumping to beat Mrs Barnes by eight lengths.
Providing the Carlow-based handler with his sixth winner of the season, Kupatana is related to Good Thyne Diva, a winner over hurdles at Thurles.
