Kruzhlinin has drawn level with Longhouse Music on eight winners in the battle for top horse honours.

Under reigning champion jockey Barry O'Neill, the son of Sholokhov was returning to the point-to-point field after his eighth-place finish in the Aintree Foxhunters' two weeks ago.

The chestnut gelding, owned by Camilla Sharples, was hardly off the bridle before cruising home an easy 15-length winner over the David Christie-trained Kadmer.
