I'm based in South Kilkenny, near Kilmacow, and my mother’s side of the family was always strongly involved in racing. My father had a few hunters too as a hobby.
When I was young, I had ponies and then Dad got me some hunters to start with. It was more on the hunting side of things that I started in.
I used to whip-in with the Mullinavats for a good number of years, doing some hunter trialling and it evolved from there to thoroughbreds.
