John Walsh reveals how he developed his love of banks racing

It was great to see Loggan Lady win her second race over the banks at Lingstown this year, as her mother Loggan Lass was a great horse for us.

I had bought Loggan Lass from her breeder Tom Burbage and she turned into a brilliant open mare. She won her maiden in Stradbally with Shane Jackson aboard. His father was a master of the Shillelagh hunt when I was the chairman, so I’ve known Shane a long time.

Then my own son Aaron went on to win eight races on her and she was a real star at Tinahely in particular, she won six races there.
