Sorcha Woods celebrated the first success of her career on the David Christie-owned-and-trained Horendus Hulabaloo in the Mongey Communications open for novice riders.

The 11-year-old son of Beneficial secured a five-length victory over Call It Magic, who was also bidding to provide Tom Harney with his first winner and it is likely the veteran will remain in the open division.

"Sorcha gets on very well with him and it was her third ride for me," Christie said. "She rides well, never puts a foot wrong and is always in the right place. Horendus Hulabaloo is a better horse this year. He deserved that as he'd had a great run at Borris."
