Caroline McCaldin brought her strike-rate for the season above the 20 per cent mark when Faith Loving supplemented his eyecatching performance at Down Royal over Christmas to take the WHR Accountants winners-of-two contest.

The seven-year-old Moira maiden winner had finished fourth at 50-1 when taking on proven open performers in that hunter chase on St Stephen’s Day, and his belated return to the pointing fields, which was delayed by the cancellation of the fixtures at Oldtown on successive weekends last month, saw him make light work of the drop in grade.
