The Denis Murphy-trained newcomer An Tobar created a huge impression with a bloodless success in the first division of the O’Connell Group five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Ballyvodock on Sunday.

The debutant An Tobar, a €72,000 graduate of the 2020 Goffs Land Rover sale, slipped into a lovely early rhythm close to the lead before Luke Murphy allowed his mount to take the lead after three-out.
