Grey Getaway shares top billing at Cheltenham sale with Muckamore

Second proved best at the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham November Sale on Friday evening as top billing was shared by a pair of horses who had been forced to settle for second place in their recent point-to-point outings.

Denis Murphy’s Grey Getaway was the first to reach the top price of £190,000, with Paul Nicholls signing for the Getaway gelding five days after he had finished second at Dromahane.

His conqueror on that occasion, Ellmarie Holden’s Wherewouldugetit, fetched £100,000 less despite his two-length success, with Andrew McNamara buying the Morozov gelding for £90,000.
