Glorious weather draws huge weekend attendances

An unseasonably warm weekend for the time of year, drew large crowds to many of last week’s point-to-points, with Liscarroll and Portrush in particular attracting bumper attendances for their respective fixtures.

The Duhallow Foxhounds pulled out all the stops for their fixture at Liscarroll which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Vincent O’Brien, who was born in the parish.

In order to commemorate O’Brien’s achievements, the committee reached out to local schools who were involved in completing a number of projects and art work of O’Brien’s career, which were displayed in a trackside marquee.
